Welcome!

My name is Madeline Hudson (she/her/hers), and I'm a Non-Union actress based in Chicago, IL. Since making the big move to Chicago in January of 2022, I have worked around town with theaters including Oil Lamp Theater, Glass Apple Theatre, and Big Noise Theatre. Most recently, I was a processionist in "Far Away" with the New Theatre Project, a bold re-telling of the play set in a working Chicago factory.

On my favorite nights, you can find me at rehearsal, hosting neighbors for a game night, or in a friend's home, collaborating on their new play around a dinner table.

If you spend time with me you'll learn that I am deeply passionate about the work. I do my best work learning on my feet and collaborating with others in the room, and I love the struggle between the play and the actor. I find enlightenment through vulnerability, embarrassment, and connection. Most of all, I look forward to working with and learning from diverse, thoughtful artists in Chicago and beyond.

Educational Background

I graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Taylor University, where I was trained in and applied Michael Chekhov's Psychological Gestures, Stanislavski's Active Analysis (Etudes), and Anne Bogart's Viewpoints, among other methodologies. I draw from these methodologies in my everyday pursuits, and I apply them directly in the rehearsal room. â€‹
